Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SmartTrader.io. They're written to be readable, but they are a binding agreement — if you don't accept them, please don't use the site.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using SmartTrader.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

The Site provides free, browser-based financial calculators and educational content relating to trading and investing. The service is provided without registration and without charge. We may add, modify or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. Educational use only — no financial advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, and nothing on the Site is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security or other financial instrument. Calculator outputs are mathematical projections based solely on the figures you enter. See the full Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

4. Permitted and prohibited use

You may use the Site for lawful personal and internal business purposes. You agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its hosting infrastructure or other users' access;
  • Attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site or circumvent any security measure;
  • Scrape, harvest or systematically extract the Site's content for republication without written permission;
  • Misrepresent the Site's outputs as personalized advice from SmartTrader.io when presenting them to others;
  • Use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, graphics, logos and code are owned by SmartTrader.io or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the Site for its intended purpose. You may share calculator results (for example, screenshots of your own calculations) freely, with or without attribution.

6. No warranty

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. While we test our formulas carefully, we do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful components, or that any calculation will be accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMARTTRADER.IO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, TRADING LOSSES, LOSS OF DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SmartTrader.io and its operators from any claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

9. Third-party links and resources

The Site may link to third-party websites or load resources (such as fonts) from third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, and a link does not imply endorsement.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time for conduct that violates these terms or is otherwise harmful to the Site or its users. Sections 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
